Attention book lovers: Open discussion group in the market library!
The Auserlesen discussion group will take place in the market library on September 15, 2025. This inspiring event is aimed at book lovers who want to discuss their favorite books in a relaxed atmosphere. The event offers the opportunity to exchange ideas about current topics and works read in all genres. The discussion group is held in the reading café of the market library and is free of charge. No prior registration is required.
The Auserlesen discussion group meets every two months, on the first Tuesday of each month. The next meeting after today's date is scheduled for November 4, 2025. There, participants can share their literary discoveries and receive new inspiration for their reading.
A wide range of offers to promote reading
An important part of the activities in the region are the numerous reading clubs and media.labs, which can be found via an interactive map from the Reading Foundation. This offers the option of searching for reading clubs or media workshops nearby based on your own zip code. This not only promotes interest in literature, but also networking within the community. The platform is a valuable resource for anyone interested in activities that promote reading and looking for support.
In addition to reading clubs, there are programs to promote reading that are specifically aimed at children and young people in daycare centers, schools and libraries. These programs not only include training for volunteer readers, but also workshops such as “Voices Create Worlds” that are tailored to the needs of participants. In addition, digital event concepts and media competence seminars are offered to promote reading and media use.
Practical support for readers
The initiatives go beyond the events and also include extensive training courses aimed at training reading assistants. Video tutorials accompany these offers and cover topics such as using the “Imagoras” app to promote reading and event work with daycare groups in libraries.
Such commitment not only highlights the importance of reading, but also creates a cultural community that appeals to every generation. Literature and exchange promote personal development and social participation, and the upcoming Auserlesen event is an ideal forum for this.
