Orchard collection campaign 2024: Apples for the region in Oberpfraundorf
There will be a special campaign in Oberpfraundorf this year that revolves around the harvest of apples. A collection campaign for orchards will take place on September 28th and October 19th, 2024, which is organized by the Regensburg Landscape Conservation Association and the Oberpfraundorf Fruit and Horticultural Association. This initiative aims to collect unsprayed apples from orchards and orchards in order to preserve the region's valuable orchards.
The collection campaign will be carried out at the warehouse of the district building yard in Oberpfraundorf (Beratzhausen). Organizers emphasize that only unsprayed apples will be accepted to ensure the quality and ecological value of the fruit collected. Orchards are not only an important habitat for many animal and plant species, but also a part of our cultural history. The preservation of these stocks is therefore of great importance.
