Nature and landscape conservation course: Register now!

The advanced training course to become a certified nature and landscape conservator and a certified nature and landscape conservator for the year 2026/2027 starts on Monday, September 21, 2026. This program is organized by the government of Upper Franconia on behalf of the Bavarian State Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Tourism and is aimed at skilled workers with a “green” training occupation, including farmers, gardeners and foresters. With a duration of 17 weeks until July 2027, the course offers comprehensive training at master level.

The content of the course covers essential aspects such as the basics of nature conservation, landscape conservation, environmental education and public relations. In addition, legal topics such as commercial and tax law as well as labor and social law are covered. Other important components include the use of machines and equipment as well as the professional planting and care of hedges and trees. Environmental education also plays a central role in the curriculum.

Registration and costs

The course fee is 1,400.00 euros, while an examination fee of 250.00 euros must be paid. Registrations are now possible; the registration deadline is June 30, 2026. In addition to the teaching content, the course is supported by collaboration with the Laufen Academy for Nature Conservation and Landscape Management and the Bavarian State Institute for Agriculture in Freising.
