New Nature Conservation Advisory Board in Regensburg: A breath of fresh air for nature
The Nature Conservation Advisory Board at the Regensburg District Office has recently reorganized itself to address the challenges in the area of nature conservation. These advisory boards, which consist of experts, are an important authority in Bavaria for scientific and technical advice to the nature conservation authorities. Members are appointed for a period of five years and the current term began on September 1, 2024, with the previous term ending on August 31, 2024.
The new members of the Nature Conservation Advisory Board were introduced at a ceremonial meeting that took place on the last day of the old term of office. District Administrator Tanja Schweiger welcomed the new members in the district office meeting room. The new faces include Dr. Albrecht Muscholl-Silberhorn, Christoph Bauer, Torsten Mierswa, Raoul Kreienmeier and Reinhard Neft. These professionals bring extensive knowledge in various areas such as nature conservation, landscape management and forestry.

The members of the Nature Conservation Advisory Board for the 11th term of office are: Reinhard Neft, Dr. Albrecht Muscholl-Silberhorn, Christoph Bauer, Torsten Mierswa and Raoul Kreienmeier. The deputies are Daniela Giehrl, Uta Röder, Josef Gerl, Georg Maierhofer and Josef Sturm.
