Important decisions at the Brunn local council: meeting on September 25th!

A meeting of the local council will take place on September 25, 2025 in the training room of the Brunn fire station. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. and covers a variety of important topics. The meeting was announced by Karl Söllner, the First Mayor, on September 18, 2025. The agenda items include, among other things, the approval of the minutes of the public part of the meeting on August 14, 2025 as well as various building applications and preliminary building inquiries.

The planned building applications include, among other things, a new single-family home with an office unit in Brunn, Wiesenweg 4, and an extension to an agricultural hall in Konstein. A new warehouse building in Brunn, Kirchplatz 9, and another single-family residential building with a garage and carport in Münchsried, Frauenberger Straße, are also being discussed.

Building loans and public

The regulations for disclosing building owner data are clearly defined in Bavaria. According to the requirements, building applications must be discussed in public council meetings in order to ensure transparency. The mention of builder details is mandatory; in particular, information about the construction site and the type of project must be provided. The Bavarian State Commissioner for Data Protection highlighted this in a legal opinion on April 13, 2017. This information not only serves the public, but also as a control mechanism to avoid possible preferential treatment, as Datenschutz Bayern explains.

Another aspect of the meeting will be the land use planning in Markt Nittendorf. The planned residential area “South of Buchenstrasse” is discussed here, including the preparation of a development plan and the 11th amendment to the zoning plan. In addition, the status of various local institutions such as the Frauenberg rectory and the St. Marien Eglsee kindergarten will also be discussed.

Forms and data protection

The municipalities are also obliged to design their documents in accordance with data protection requirements. This applies in particular to the provision of forms that meet data protection requirements. As described on Planning Aids Bavaria, these forms must effectively meet the specific requirements, whereby the respective land use planning process should be taken into account. Compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is of central importance.

With regard to the publication of information on the Internet, it is advisable to publish the names of building owners anonymously, unless their mention is absolutely necessary. This helps to protect the privacy of the builders and yet ensures the necessary transparency.

The local council meeting promises to be an exciting opportunity for citizens to find out about local developments and plans in their community. It remains to be seen what decisions will be made and how the planned projects will be implemented. The detailed agenda and further information can be found in the official announcement of the Municipality of Brunn.
