The requirements are clearly defined: those interested should be eligible to vote, at least 18 years old and a Union citizen. A refreshment fee of 70 euros will be paid as compensation for expenses.

Poll workers work in shifts, with the first from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the second from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The crucial phase of counting votes begins at 6:00 p.m. The election workers at the postal voting stations must be ready to count by 3:00 p.m.
In a country where around 650,000 to 700,000 poll workers are needed for elections, any support is welcome.
