Participation in land use plan: Western port/oil port in focus

The city of Regensburg invites all interested citizens to actively participate in the 73rd amendment to the land use plan as well as in the development plan procedure No. 274 in the Westhafen / Oil Harbor area. This participation opportunity begins on Monday, October 14, 2024 and ends on Friday, November 15, 2024. It is an excellent opportunity to help shape the future development of this important area.

A central goal of these plans is to expand the scope to the west to include the Danube lands area. This expansion covers the areas between the extended Babostrasse, Johanna-Dachs-Strasse and the Danube. The city is planning to create a water-related, leisure-oriented use here, which also includes a port terminal for passenger shipping and additional structural uses.

Planning details

The existing plans should be updated. The 73rd amendment to the land use plan and development plan No. 274 are converted from the previous area classifications such as special area (SO) port, industrial area (GE) and mixed area (MI) into an urban area and into five different special area areas with different usage intensities. This should enable a more diverse use of the area and increase the attractiveness of the region.

The participation documents are available online www.regensburg.de/teilig-bebauungsplan-flaechenutilsplan available. Citizens can also view the documents in person at the city planning office in the New Town Hall. Opening times are Monday to Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

An important date is the public discussion on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. in Forum 78 of the marinaforum Regensburg. The general planning goals are presented here and there is an opportunity to ask questions and discuss. For those unable to attend in person, the event will also be streamed online via Cisco Webex.
