Full closure of the main road in Pressath: diversions from August 27th
The city of Pressath has announced that a section of Main Street, also known as NEW 5, will be completely closed starting Tuesday, August 27, 2024. This measure is part of the ongoing renovation work in the old town, which aims to improve the infrastructure and increase the quality of life in the region.
The closure affects the area between the Agnes-Raith-Straße junction and the Erbendorfer Straße junction. During this time, water and sewer connection work will be carried out, which is expected to take around a week. The city administration has deemed this work necessary to bring the supply lines up to date.
Detour and traffic management
A diversion will be set up for affected road users. The diversion in the direction of Zessau and Trabitz as well as for the Pressath-Süd area is via the NEW 24 and the B 299. The city of Pressath has already put up appropriate signs to guide drivers and ensure that traffic flows as smoothly as possible.
