Cultural highlights in Grafenwöhr: A winter full of events

Things will get really lively in Grafenwöhr in the coming months, because the cultural program for autumn and winter 2024/25 promises a variety of exciting events. The city invites everyone to discover new things and enjoy the tried and tested as the temperatures drop and the days get shorter.

The town hall becomes the center of cultural activities, offering something for every taste. From concerts to theater performances to entertaining shows – the next few months will be packed with events to brighten up the cold season. On November 2nd, the popular hit band “Mercy Plateau Soles” will take the stage and delight visitors with hits from well-known artists such as Jürgen Drews and Tony Marshall. Tickets are available through various sales outlets, including Reisewelt and Sparkasse in Grafenwöhr.

The Landestheater Oberpfalz will be a guest in the town hall twice. The comedy “Dinner for Spinners” will be performed on November 16th, followed by the play “Art” on March 21st. Both performances promise fun entertainment and are a great opportunity to sit back and laugh for an evening.

Another highlight is the quiz evening on November 22nd in the youth home, where tricky questions and live music by Samuel Dupke await the participants. Here guests can test their knowledge and at the same time spend a sociable evening.

The pre-Christmas period is also celebrated big in Grafenwöhr. The USAREUR band's traditional Christmas concert will take place on December 6th, which is free as usual. The next day, the Upper Palatinate Advent market will take place in the city park and museum courtyard, where numerous stands and a festive music program await visitors.

Elvis Presley's 90th birthday will be celebrated in January 2025. Not only musicians who have worked with the King of Rock are coming to the occasion, but also his cousin Donna Presley. The event promises an unforgettable experience for all Elvis fans.

In March the “World of Musicals” will be presented, a show that brings together the best songs from popular musicals. And in April the Dresden Residence Orchestra will perform Vivaldi's “The Four Seasons” in Grafenwöhr, which will be a treat for all classical music lovers.

In addition, advance sales have already started for two cabaret events in May and June 2025. Gerhard Polt & the Well brothers and Michl Müller will take the stage and provide the best entertainment with their programs. Tickets are also available at the usual ticket offices.

Grafenwöhr offers a varied cultural program that enriches the cold season with music, theater and festive events. The city is looking forward to numerous visitors who would like to be inspired by the diverse offerings.
