Seubersdorf Süd: Expansion of the building area and new water regulations
The community of Seubersdorf i.d.OPf. is planning a significant expansion of the Seubersdorf Süd development area. This measure aims to optimize the infiltration of rainwater. To make this possible, a special water permit is issued by the Neumarkt i.d.OPf District Office. applied for, which is based on paragraphs 10 and 15 of the Water Resources Act (WHG).
The planned expansion will also result in changes to the existing drainage situation. The current plans include both technical and structural adjustments to the discharge structures. It is important to mention that the construction area will continue to be drained using a separate system, which means that wastewater and rainwater are drained away separately. Dirty water disposal remains unchanged and goes to the Kemnathen sewage treatment plant in Markt Breitenbrunn.
Details on stormwater management
The rainwater that occurs in the areas of the 3rd, 4th and 5th expansion of the Seubersdorf Süd development area is collected in special rainwater canals. These channels direct the water south to a rain retention and infiltration basin on State Road St 2251. From there the water is drained in a controlled manner into the drainage ditch on St 2251. Infiltration occurs both in the infiltration basin and in the drainage ditch, which ensures efficient drainage of rainwater.
An emergency spillway from the infiltration basin also flows into the 2251 State St. drainage ditch to prevent flooding in the event of heavy rain. It is worth noting that the rain retention basin in the Am Sonnenhügel development area, which also feeds part of the 3rd expansion of the Seubersdorf Süd development area, is not affected by these changes.
The municipality has already published various planning documents that are accessible to interested citizens. These include, among other things, explanations, water engineering calculations and site plans that show the planned measures in detail.
