Parsberg pedals: CITY CYCLING starts on June 24th!
The city of Parsberg has once again gotten on the saddle and is inviting all citizens to take part in this year's CITY CYCLING. From June 24th to July 14th, 2024, cyclists in the region can collect their kilometers and make an important contribution to climate protection.
CITY CYCLING is an exciting competition that runs over three weeks. The aim is to cover as many everyday journeys as possible by bicycle in an environmentally friendly way. No matter whether you are an experienced cyclist or are just discovering the bike for yourself - every kilometer counts! It is particularly important that you cycle routes that you would normally cover by car.
Who can participate?
Anyone who lives, works, goes to school in Parsberg or belongs to one of the many local clubs can register. Whether for the way to work, to school, for shopping or for private excursions - every kilometer driven is a small step for the environment.
Registration is now possible. Those interested can visit the website www.stadtradeln.de register. There is also a practical app that can be downloaded to smartphones to document the routes traveled.
It will be particularly exciting for schools, clubs and companies that can form teams. Schools must be under www.schulradeln.de Register as there is a separate competition taking place there. However, the kilometers collected in the schools are also included in the overall ranking for Parsberg.
In order to make participation even more attractive, the city of Parsberg has created a special motivation for youth groups and school classes: For every kilometer driven, there is 1 cent for the team or class fund. However, amounts under €10.00 will not be paid out.

The positive effects of CITY CYCLING should not be underestimated: the avoided CO₂ emissions not only benefit the environment and the climate, but also the residents, who benefit from less traffic, exhaust fumes and noise.
