Discover the art: children's tour in the Lothar Fischer Museum
The Lothar Fischer Museum in Neumarkt will open its doors for an exciting children's tour on Sunday, September 1, 2024. It starts at 11:15 a.m. and the theme of the tour is “Invisible-visible. On the art of Claudia Mann”. This event promises to be both educational and entertaining.
Claudia Mann, who was awarded the Lothar Fischer Prize in 2023, is known for her unique works of art, which often work with casts. Her art aims to make the invisible visible. She often uses her own body as a benchmark. After a playful tour of the exhibition, children will have the opportunity to create a creative frottage that takes their body measurements into account.
Details on registration and participation
Participation in the children's tour is suitable for children aged 6 and over. Binding registration is required by August 29, 2024. Interested parents can register by calling 09181 – 510348. The fee for participation is 3 euros.
Parallel to the children's tour, there will also be a tour for adults, which includes the newly opened special exhibitions "Collecting! 20 Years of the Lothar Fischer Museum" and "Claudia Mann. Lothar Fischer Prize 2023". The fee for this tour is 6 euros.
Claudia Mann’s painting entitled “Don’t be afraid of me” from 2020 will also be on display in the exhibition. It shows how art can help open up different perspectives and raise awareness of the invisible.
With this event, the Lothar Fischer Museum offers an excellent opportunity to experience art in an interactive and engaging way. It is an invitation to everyone to encourage their children's curiosity and creativity while discovering the fascinating world of contemporary art.
