The stick shooting club championships recently took place in Weiding, an event that attracted many sports enthusiasts. The individual shooting was planned for Friday, September 27th, but the weather conditions thwarted the organizers' plans. The rain meant that the competition had to be stopped early, which disappointed the participants.

But hope for exciting competitions was not yet lost. On Sunday, September 29th, things really started. The team shooting started at 9 a.m. and the shooters were ready to give their best. After the teams were drawn, the competition began immediately. The atmosphere was tense and the shooters gave everything they had to win the title.

Team ranking results

The “AS” team prevailed with an impressive performance and secured first place with 11:5 points. The shooters of this victorious team were Werner Ullrich, Gerhard Seebauer, Benedikt Bucher and Marcell Kettl. Just behind, the “Unter” team came in second place with 10:6 points. The members of this team included Johann Prasch Sr., Robert Vögerl, Tobias Vögerl and Manfred Vögerl. Third place went to the “Ober” team with 9:7 points, consisting of Alois Stelzer, Daniel Schinabeck, Ludwig Schönberger and Bernhard Ederer.

After a shared lunch, which provided welcome refreshment, the individual championship was rescheduled. Here Manfred Vögerl was able to win the title of club champion with a total score of 144 points. Robert Vögerl followed him in second place with 131 points, while Daniel Schinabeck took third place with 123 points. The sporting director Stefanie Schillinger was responsible for evaluating the results and ensuring that everything ran smoothly.

The event was a complete success and the participants showed not only their skills but also their team spirit. Weiding's stick shooters have once again proven that they are among the best in the region.
