Art and music combined: Leni Reitinger inspires in the Museum Ludwig”

A remarkable evening recently took place at the Ludwig Gebhard Museum in Tiefenbach, which captivated visitors. The talented 17-year-old Leni Reitinger performed, attracting around 60 music lovers who didn't want to miss her singing skills. The room was filled to capacity and the atmosphere was electric when the young artist took the stage.

However, before Leni began her performance, Mayor Ludwig Prögler took the floor. He introduced the Upper Palatinate Cultural Cooperative, or KoOpf for short, a network that has been promoting the Upper Palatinate art scene beyond its borders since 1999. With 21 members, including partners in the Czech Republic and Lower Bavaria, KoOpf offers a platform for exchanging experiences and initiating cooperation projects. The community of Tiefenbach is proud to be part of this creative network.

An evening full of music and art

Prögler expressed his joy that Leni Reitinger was offered the opportunity to present her talent as part of the KoOpf art night. Their program was carefully selected and appealed to both younger and older listeners. The silence in the room was almost tangible when Leni sang the first notes with her clear and powerful voice. She accompanied herself on the guitar and sang well-known songs such as “Großvota” by S.T.S and “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd. The audience was spellbound and listened attentively.

The hour flew by, and after an encore the talented singer received thunderous applause. Mayor Prögler encouraged Leni to continue pursuing her passion for music and expressed his desire to continue hearing from her in the future. It was an evening that highlighted the importance of art and celebrated the region's talent.

The visitors took the opportunity to view the exhibition “protected because of its beauty” by Katharina Gierlach and to admire the works of Ludwig Gebhard. A short film about Gebhard's life and artistic work was also very well received. The second art night was therefore considered a complete success.

Next Sunday, the two Tiefenbach museums - the Ludwig Gebhard Museum and the Former Lace School Museum - will be open again from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The works of Katharina Gierlach and Ludwig Gebhard can be seen in the Gebhard Museum, while the art of lace-making is presented in the Lace Museum. Entry to both museums is free, providing the opportunity to discover the local art scene.
