Tamara Hubert: A life full of stories and family happiness in Schorndorf
Tamara Hubert, a remarkable personality from Schorndorf's “Mitte construction area”, has a fascinating life story that includes many ups and downs. Originally from Kazakhstan, she has her roots in a family of German origin. Their stories about the past four decades are not only inspiring, but also an impressive testament to hard work and perseverance. From her time as a postal worker to her role as a warehouse clerk and merchandise purchasing dispatcher, she has gained a lot of experience in a variety of jobs. She also worked in railway construction and coal mining, while at the same time raising five children and looking after the allotment garden, which enabled the family to be largely self-sufficient.
In 1995 Tamara dared to move to Germany. After four years in Roding, she settled in Schorndorf in 1999, where she found a new home in “Am Riedäcker”. Her children followed her to Germany and today mostly live near Schorndorf with their own families. The family has now expanded and now includes 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who bring Tamara a lot of joy. Her husband died in 2014, but Tamara remains mobile thanks to her walking stick and is supported by her daughter around the house.
A life full of activities
Tamara used to be a passionate knitter and seamstress and regularly attended church. Today she enjoys spending her time in the garden, where she takes care of her tomatoes and cucumbers. Reading, listening to audio books and painting are also some of her favorite activities. These hobbies not only give her joy, but also a welcome change in her everyday life.
The first mayor Max Schmaderer recently visited Tamara to congratulate her on her special path in life. He wished her all the best and, above all, the best of health. On behalf of the community, he presented her with a small gift to express his appreciation for her remarkable life. Tamara Hubert is a shining example of resilience and joy of life, and her story is sure to inspire many.
