Environmental mobile in Cham: Dispose of problem waste safely on October 15th

The Cham district's environmental vehicle is on the road again to collect problematic waste. On Wednesday, October 15, 2024, citizens will have the opportunity to hand in their hazardous waste at various locations in the municipalities of Walderbach and Reichenbach. This action is particularly important to ensure that harmful substances do not end up in residual waste or in the environment.

The environmental vehicle will stop at several places in Walderbach. From 10:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. it will be at the FFW house in Kirchenrohrbach. Then we continue to the sports field in Katzenrohrbach from 10:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Finally, the mobile will be at the construction yard in Walderbach from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. In Reichenbach, citizens can hand in their waste at the sports field between 12:45 and 1:30 p.m.

What is collected?

The environmental mobile accepts a variety of problematic waste, including stains, paint and varnish residues, solvents, medicines, batteries, chemicals and much more. It is important to note that only normal household quantities will be accepted. For larger quantities that come from households or businesses, a prior request to the district works is required. They can be reached by calling 09971/78-860.

An important note for citizens: used vehicle batteries from online retailers can only be returned to the environmental vehicle without confirmation of acceptance. The Environmental Mobile is a practical solution for anyone who wants to ensure that their hazardous waste is disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

The collection takes place in all 39 communities in the Cham district at a total of 110 collection points. This is done free of charge and offers citizens the opportunity to safely dispose of their waste containing pollutants. The Cham district works ask all citizens to pay attention to a few important points to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
