On January 28, 2026, the municipality of Illschwang announced important news regarding environmental measures in the Neuöd V industrial area. Dieter Dehling, the first mayor, officially announced the discharge of collected rainwater. This decision is in line with the required water permits and the existing legal regulations.
The water law permit, which was granted to discharge rainwater into the groundwater, is issued by the Amberg-Sulzbach district office. The legal basis for this approval is based on Section 15 of the Water Resources Act and Article 16 of the Bavarian Water Act.
