31st Children's Forest Run in Illschwang: A festival for young runners

SV Illschwang is in the starting blocks for an exciting event that brings children and families together. On Sunday, September 29th, the 31st children's forest run will take place on the club's sports grounds. The event not only promises sporting challenges, but also a lot of fun for the little participants. The first run starts at 2 p.m. and the anticipation is already palpable.

Registration for the run opens at 1 p.m. in the sports center, where participants can pick up their starting numbers. The award ceremony, which will be conducted by Illschwang's first mayor Dieter Dehling, is scheduled for around 4 p.m. There are four age groups and all children who enjoy running are welcome, regardless of where they live. Late registrations are possible up to 45 minutes before the start, which offers parents flexibility.

Event details

Children can compete in different age groups, meaning there is something for everyone. The competition for the challenge cup for the class with the highest number of participants at the local primary school is particularly exciting. To participate in this competition, students must indicate their grade level when registering. This not only promotes team spirit, but also the motivation of the children.

Registrations must be made by Thursday, September 26th at the latest. Those interested can register via the official SV Illschwang website (www.sv-illschwang.de). The participation fee is 6 euros, which must be paid on the day of the event. Each participant not only receives a trophy, but also a certificate documenting their participation in this special event.

Here is an overview of the different running times and route lengths: At 2 p.m. the youngest participants (those born in 2019) start on a route of 300 meters. The 2017 and 2018 vintages will follow at 2:15 p.m. with a distance of 800 meters. At 2:45 p.m. it will be the turn of the 2014 to 2016 vintages to cover 1,600 meters. Finally, at 3:15 p.m., the oldest participants (born 2011 to 2013) set off on the 2,400-meter-long route.

There is great anticipation for the children's forest run, and the organizers of SV Illschwang are ready to create an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. It remains to be seen which classes will take home the challenge cup and how many little runners will take part in the competition.
