Delicious beer delights: Experience a Bavarian dinner on October 12th!

On September 30th, 2025, the AOVE is announcing a culinary highlight: On Sunday, October 12th, 2025, there will be a culinary dinner that is all about “beer bliss”. The event is organized by local caretaker Marianne Moosburger, who promises guests a varied program.

The dinner starts at 5 p.m. and will take place at three different venues: in the sports restaurant, in the nostalgic Tiffany and in the Wendls' vault brewery. Anyone interested can now register with AOVE on 09664/952467.

Bavarian delicacies and traditions

Bavaria is not only known for its picturesque landscapes and charming villages, but above all for its rich culinary tradition. The “Bavarian delicacies” are part of Bavarian culture and offer a variety of hearty dishes. Typical specialties include pork knuckles, white sausages and pretzels, all of which are prepared with regional ingredients.

A popular dish is the snack, which consists of roast pork, obazda and farmer's bread. Sweet dishes such as apple strudel with vanilla sauce and steamed dumplings with sweet sauce are also very popular. These culinary delights can be experienced not only at the Oktoberfest in Munich, but also at local events such as the Culinary Dinner in Hahnbach. Oktoberfest showcases a variety of Bavarian cuisine, including sausage specialties and sweet treats like Kaiserschmarrn and roasted almonds.

Organizers are placing increasing emphasis on sustainability and regional ingredients, which is also noticeable in Bavarian gastronomy. Many restaurants use local products and offer a wide range of culinary experiences in beer gardens, taverns and star restaurants.

Culinary events and experiences

There are numerous culinary events in Bavaria that highlight local delicacies. In Bad Birnbach, a town in Lower Bavaria, the weekly market takes place every Saturday at the Neuer Marktplatz. Here visitors can purchase regional delicacies, wooden toys and healing stones. The region also offers culinary weeks in inns dedicated to both traditional and innovative recipes.

In addition, various summer and folk festivals take place in the warm months, offering live music, dancing and refreshing drinks. The farm festivals on farms allow guests to enjoy Bavarian food directly on site, such as fresh milk, farmer's bread and homemade cakes. Modern restaurants such as the Wellness Hotel Sonnengut in Bad Birnbach expand the range of dishes and combine gastronomic highlights with wellness experiences.

In view of these diverse culinary offerings, the Culinary Dinner in Hahnbach represents an excellent opportunity to experience and enjoy Bavarian cuisine in all its diversity. Whether with fine food, informative stories or sociable music – the event promises to be a true feast for all the senses.
