Honor for 20 CSU members: Hahnbach celebrates many years of loyalty!

On December 5, 2025, a ceremonial honoring of 20 long-standing members of the CSU local association took place in Hahnbach. Second Mayor Georg Götz took over the leading role of the event and emphasized the importance of honesty, reliability and consistency in political work. In his speech, Götz also expressed gratitude for the commitment of the members and referred to the valuable contribution of these volunteers to the community. Those present also included Mayor Bernhard Lindner, mayoral candidate Dominik Sachsenhauser and District Administrator Richard Reisinger, all of whom recognized the achievements of the honorees.https://www.hahnbach.de/aktuelles/detail?tx_news_pi1%5Baction%5D=detail&tx_news_pi1%5Bcontroller%5D=News&tx_news_pi1%5Bnews%5D=4174&cHash=50524acaf6771d6fc92d65c331f0342d

The honors included numerous long-standing members who were recognized for their loyalty to the CSU. Hildegard Gallitzendörfer received a certificate of honor for 20 years of membership, while Andreas Luber was honored for 25 years. Particularly long-standing members include Franz Iberer, Werner Graf and Josef Kotz, who have been active in the CSU for 30 years. Erwin Stubenvoll and Willi Hofmann were recognized for their 45 years of membership, and Josef Luber can look back on an impressive 60 years. Georg Götz not only recognized the merits of those honored, but also praised the work of the Women's Union and the Young Union and asked those present to sign their candidacy in the town hall.

Important framework conditions for volunteers

The recognition of volunteer work is not only important at the local level. At the federal level, the importance of voluntary work is also being strengthened by politics. The State Minister for Sport and Volunteering emphasizes how important the visibility and recognition of volunteers are in Germany. Volunteers have provided valuable services during crises and natural disasters, which underlines how indispensable their commitment is to society. Millions of people participate every day in areas such as emergency services, sport, culture and the environment, which promotes social cohesion. This illustrates the need for an active volunteering and engagement policy, which was set out in the coalition agreement.https://www.bundesregierung.de/breg-de/bundesregierung/bundeskanzleramt/startseite-staatsministerin-fuer-sport-und-ehrenamt/eine-aktive-ehrenamts-und-engagementpolitik-fuer-deutschland-2348750

A crucial element of this policy is the introduction of a volunteering future pact, which contains concrete measures to improve the framework conditions for volunteers. These include, among other things, increasing the flat rate for trainers and the flat rate for volunteer work, as well as a law to reduce bureaucracy for clubs, which is intended to make volunteer work easier. In addition, protective measures are being planned for volunteers who are increasingly on the defensive due to verbal and physical attacks. The German Foundation for Engagement and Volunteering (DSEE) was set up in 2020 as a central contact point to promote projects and support the quality of volunteering.

Organization and honor in the CSU local branch in Hausen

Another point that underlines the importance of volunteering and organization within the CSU is the new honor code of the CSU local branch in Hausen. This was decided on April 4, 2025 and enables a structured awarding of honors for long-term memberships and outstanding services. Members who have been active for 25, 50 or more years receive certificates at local general meetings to properly recognize their achievements. Such regulations not only promote the motivation of members, but also include a transparent honoring of those who have committed themselves to party work over a long period of time.https://www.csu.de/verbaende/ov/hausen/aktuelles-und-news/april-2025-1/ehrenregulation/
