AOVE is moving: New office for sustainable developments in Hahnbach!

On January 13, 2026, the Obere Vils-Ehenbach working group (AOVE) moved to a new building on the bypass road in Hahnbach. The office was previously located on the second floor of the fire station at Amberger Tor. The new premises on the ground floor not only offer larger office and meeting rooms, but also a brighter and quieter environment for employees.

The move was planned for December 2024 after the market town acquired the new building. The challenges included the preparation of reports for occupational safety and escape plans as well as the necessary renovations and the procurement of furniture. The team received support from workers at the AOVE construction yards and private helpers to ensure the smooth move.

Sustainability and new office furniture

An important topic during the move was sustainability. Well-preserved used furniture was ordered from a local Hahnbach company. This decision not only meets current environmental standards, but also makes financial sense. With its furniture purchases, AOVE aims to find resource-saving solutions. It is advantageous to choose modular systems that are expandable and customizable, allowing them to keep up with the growth of the company. This approach includes asking whether furniture can be repaired and whether replacement parts are available, which promotes long-term use reports the SundW.

In addition to the three founders Katja Stiegler, Doris Beer and Sabine Weber, the current AOVE team also includes Sarah Dehling and Elke Flierl. Sarah Dehling is project coordinator for the GESTALT-get SET project, which is funded by statutory health insurance companies. This preventative exercise offer will begin with a kick-off event in Hahnbach at the end of February 2026.

The AOVE is changing

The AOVE, which has existed for 30 years, focuses on the development of rural areas and oversees projects in inter-municipal cooperation. These projects are presented on the AOVE website, with the main goal being to create the best conditions for a successful start in life for everyone.

Not everything is perfectly organized in the new office at the moment; there is a need for more clarity, especially in the warehouse on the first floor. There is also a planned “open day” in early summer to present the projects and work of AOVE to the public. In addition, the surroundings of the new building will be redesigned; a “green classroom” is planned towards the Max Prechtl School, in which the local fruit and horticultural association will also take part.

The new office will be closed from December 8th to 12th, 2025 due to the move and can only be reached by telephone or email to a limited extent during this time. From December 15, 2025, interested parties will find the AOVE at the address Umgehungsstrasse 10 in Hahnbach as Heimat-Info reports.
