50 years of love and gratitude: The Münch couple from Hahnbach is celebrating
A very special anniversary is being celebrated in Hahnbach: Angela and Georg Münch look back on 50 years of marriage. On October 11, 1974, the two exchanged vows in a ceremonial act in the registry office, followed by a church wedding the next day in the St. Jakobus Parish Church. The couple's memories of the festively decorated horse-drawn carriage that Uncle Alois had organized for them are still alive today. This carriage took them to the church and then to the banquet at the Ritter Inn.
The story of Angela, née Lindner, and Georg Münch from Rosenberg began during their apprenticeship at the Storg department store in Amberg. During a school trip to France, a friendship developed into deep love. Both agree that true love is a priceless treasure that should be kept for a lifetime.
Family life and professional paths
In 1980, the Münchs fulfilled their dream of owning their own house in Hahnbach, where they raised their children Marina and Christian. Today four grandchildren enrich her life and ensure many happy family reunions and excursions.
While Angela took care of the household, the children and the garden, Georg was professionally active in various cities such as Amberg, Sulzbach-Rosenberg, Nuremberg and Lauf. He found fulfillment in the department store industry and retired at the end of 2017.
Although they used to be active in sports, they now enjoy spending time outdoors as well as spending time at home. They are also active in various clubs and are interested in topics that go beyond their community.
Volunteering and travel
Georg Münch is involved as a volunteer church caretaker, a task that means a lot to him and for which he receives great recognition. The couple love traveling in their caravan and have visited every continent, with Italy always being their favorite destination.
With a smile they say: “We are very grateful to God for our journey through life together and for our family.”
