Experience the diversity of nature: BayernTourNatur 2024 invites you!

The BayernTourNatur invites all nature lovers to discover the beauty and diversity of the Bavarian landscapes. This initiative offers an excellent opportunity to experience nature up close while learning about the local flora and fauna. Whether you enjoy hiking, cycling, horseback riding or boating - there is something for everyone here!

The BayernTourNatur is more than just an excursion into nature. It combines physical activity with knowledge transfer and playful learning. The aim is to raise awareness of nature and promote a deeper understanding of the environment. Through these experiences, participants should develop an appreciation for nature, because what you value, you also protect.

Unique community event

This initiative is a joint effort that was launched by various actors, including the Bavarian Ministry of the Environment, clubs, associations and educational institutions. Since its founding in 2001, BayernTourNatur has mobilized numerous nature guides to bring people closer to local nature in an entertaining and educational way. Every year, up to 1,000 organizers from all over Bavaria take part in this campaign, making it a unique forum for nature experiences in Germany.

The first BayernTourNatur took place on May 20, 2001 and was a great success with 450 events. Due to the positive feedback, the campaign was repeated regularly in the following years. Since 2005, the period for the events has been extended until the end of October, resulting in a significant increase in the programs offered. Today, BayernTourNatur includes up to 7,000 events per year and is considered the largest environmental education campaign in Germany.
