Nomination for the local elections: Candidates from Obergriesbach wanted!

The local elections in Bavaria are taking place on March 8, 2026. This electoral period, which takes place every six years, enables citizens to decide on key local decisions. Election process and procedure

The electoral organization in Bavaria stipulates that each municipality and each district acts as its own constituency. Larger municipalities can also be divided into voting districts to ensure effective voting. The number of mandates to be awarded depends on the number of residents - for example, a municipality with 4,000 residents has 16 mandates.

The seats are distributed according to the Sainte-Laguë/Schepers calculation method. Seats are allocated to the nominations in accordance with each other, and if the claims are the same, the higher number of votes of the people concerned decides.
