Citizens' Ball in Merching: Get your tickets from December 15th!

The citizens’ ball “Merching dances” will take place in Merching on Saturday, January 17, 2026. The event begins at 8:00 p.m. in the Merching multi-purpose hall and offers an entertaining program for dance enthusiasts. The band Sound Train will provide musical accompaniment, while the carnival guard NARRNEUSIA will give a performance. A dance crash course for those interested will take place on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the same location.

Registration for the dance course can be made via the Aichach Adult Education Center. The course, number E 53213-03, costs 20 euros per couple and covers various dance styles, including Chacha, Rumba and Discofox. The dance teachers Axel and Uschi Zwickau lead the sessions. This crash course not only offers a great opportunity to prepare for the ball, but also to learn new dance skills.

Advance ticket sales and entrance fees

Advance ticket sales for the Citizens' Ball start on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. in the Merching town hall. Tickets are available there during local government opening hours. The entry price for the event is 19 euros. Guests can be admitted into the hall from 7:00 p.m., which offers enough time for a sociable evening while the participants wait for the big dancing fun.

There are also culinary offerings from the Landgasthof Aumiller as well as cocktails served by the Merchinger boys at the bar. To round off the evening, a ticket raffle will take place around midnight, creating additional excitement and encouraging guests to stay until the end.
