In Dasing, middle school students have created a remarkable project that shows not only their creativity but also their commitment to sustainable practices. The 7th grade, supported by the “ARGE Saftladen”, has been busy collecting apples over the last few weeks and processing them into 100% organic apple juice. The result? Over 80 liters of freshly squeezed juice that is not only healthy but also delicious.

Today the students presented the first mayor Andreas Wiesner with a special surprise: bottles of their home-made apple juice. Class representative Mehmet and his classmates delivered the gifts together with Ms. Eymüller, who accompanies the students throughout their school career. Everyone could see the joy of the successful project and the students were visibly proud of their achievement.

Insight into the project

The idea of making your own apple juice arose from the students' desire to create something of their own and at the same time protect the environment. By using locally sourced organic apples, they not only support local agriculture, but also learn the importance of making sustainable choices. The students not only collected the apples, but also carried out the entire pressing and bottling process themselves.

The campaign not only thrilled the students, but also aroused the interest of the community. Making organic apple juice is a great example of how education and practical experience can go hand in hand. The students not only improved their teamwork and organizational skills, but also developed an awareness of healthy eating and environmental protection.

Dasinger Middle School plans to continue such projects in the future to further encourage student engagement and give them the opportunity to put their ideas into action. The response to the project has been overwhelmingly positive and the students are looking forward to sharing their experiences with others.
