Digital building application: New service for builders in Affing from 2023
From January 1, 2023, builders can submit their building applications digitally to the Aichach-Friedberg district office. This innovation makes the process easier for many applicants. However, there is no obligation to submit applications digitally. Applications can still be submitted in paper form.
Changes in procedure
Most applications in paper form must be submitted directly to the Aichach-Friedberg district office. The address is Münchener Straße 9, 86551 Aichach. The municipal administration is informed about the application and involved. The community's consent to the building application remains an absolute prerequisite for approval.
Digital applications and exceptions
All digital applications, such as building applications using the simplified procedure, preliminary decisions and extension applications, must be submitted to the Aichach-Friedberg district office via the BayernPortal. The paper applications for the simplified and normal building permit procedures must also be submitted there. Exceptions apply to exemption procedures, isolated exemptions and deviations from local statutes. These must still be submitted via the municipality of Affing.
Deadlines and recommendations
Early submission of applications is recommended. This is important so that the applications can be dealt with in a timely manner at the next meetings of the Building and Transport Committee. According to Section 36 Paragraph 2 of the BauGB, the municipality has a period of two months to assess a building application.

The meeting dates of the Building and Transport Committee for 2023 are: April 10, 2024, May 8, 2024, June 5, 2024, July 3, 2024, July 24, 2024, September 11, 2024, October 9, 2024, November 6, 2024 and December 4, 2024.
