Construction work on the comprehensive expansion and redesign of Schwedenstrasse in Pöttmes will begin on March 16, 2026. The local council has decided on the following important details that are important for residents and the public. The construction work is being carried out by Holl GmbH from Burgheim and requires the entire Schwedenstraße to be completely closed during the entire construction period.

The main aim of this measure is to keep the disruption to residents as low as possible. During the construction phase, a diversion will be set up via the adjacent streets. The details of this diversion can be found in the diversion plan. Despite the complete closure, access to the construction site remains free for residents and businesses, which guarantees a certain level of accessibility.

Information for residents

The implementation of the construction project has an impact on the public parking space situation in the construction site area, as these are no longer available. In addition, private driveways will not be accessible throughout the construction period. Residents are therefore asked to park their vehicles outside the construction site area. In order to continue to enable residents to dispose of waste smoothly, the construction company will bring garbage cans to the end of the construction site. Residents should ensure that their bins are set out the day before collection.

For special services, such as meals on wheels and patient transport, the construction site management will take over the necessary coordination on site to ensure that residents are provided with supplies even during the construction phase. The entire construction project is scheduled to be completed by the beginning of December 2026 and will thus shine a new light on Schwedenstrasse.
