My dream of Weiden: Art project in the New Town Hall inspires citizens

In the heart of Weiden, in the foyer of the New Town Hall, an exciting art project is being presented that focuses on the voices of citizens. Under the title “My Dream of Willows”, various organizations worked together to create a large-scale puzzle that reflects the wishes and hopes of the people of the city. This project is not only an artistic representation, but also an expression of community and togetherness.

The initiative was launched by several local groups, including the Rotary Club of Weiden, the Catholic Youth Welfare Association, the Diakonisches Werk Weiden e.V. and the Weiden Youth Art School. The aim was to encourage people to share their thoughts and feelings about life in Weiden. Each piece of the puzzle tells its own story, shaped by the participants' individual experiences and perspectives.

Official presentation of the artwork

The official presentation of the puzzle took place on Thursday evening. Mayor Jens Meyer and Prof. Dr. Karl-Heinz Dietl, President of the Rotary Club of Weiden, was present to present the work of art. The event attracted numerous interested parties who were enthusiastic about the creative contributions of the citizens.

The puzzle will be on display in the exhibition foyer of the New Town Hall until October 11th.
