Old masters in the Maria Seltmann House: works of art by senior citizens
The weekly painting meeting at the Maria Seltmann House is showing a special art exhibition until October 31st. The exhibition is entitled “Old Masters”. This term was chosen with a wink. Most of the members of the painting club are already seniors.
Variety of motifs
At the opening of the exhibition he commentedSusanne Meichner, the director of the Maria Seltmann House, is enthusiastic about the works on display: “There are small masterpieces to be admired here”. The pictures can be seen in the foyer of the house during opening hours. These are from Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Praise for the artists
Fritjoff Kösling, the leader of the painting meeting, praises the amateur artists. They meet every Wednesday to paint together. They implement their ideas in a wide variety of styles and techniques.Köslingcan rightly be proud of its old masters, who together date back over 800 years.
