CHRISTMAS photo competition in Waldsassen: Participate now and win!
The city of Waldsassen has announced the preparations for its popular “CHRISTMAS” photo competition. This year, all creative minds are invited to submit their best shots from the community. The competition is very popular and offers participants the opportunity to put their photography skills to the test.
The winning image not only receives a prize, but also has the chance to be used in the city's public relations work. The jury, consisting of the first mayor Bernd Sommer, managing director Martin Rosner and other members, will carefully examine the submissions. The jury's decision is final and non-appealable, meaning participants can rely on the jurors' expertise.
Important information about participation
The deadline for submitting images is November 8th, 2024. In order to take part in the competition, photographers must ensure that their images come from the Waldsassen municipality. Photos should be emailed in JPEG format to the address provided. There are a few important points to note: Each participant is allowed to submit a maximum of two images, and photos that have already been submitted from previous competitions are not permitted.
In addition, the photographers must provide information about the place of origin, motif and title of the image. It is important that the submitted images do not contain any textual elements such as names or copyright notices. Members of the jury and their relatives are also excluded from participation to ensure fairness.
Participants must confirm that they own the rights to the images submitted and that they were taken by themselves. By submitting their photos, participants agree that their images may be published free of charge. This includes use on social media and other City public relations materials.
Another important point is the protection of privacy. If people are recognizable in the images, the consent of the people depicted is required. In the case of minors, the consent of the legal representative must also be obtained. The depiction of buildings and land owned by third parties is only permitted with appropriate permission.
The city of Waldsassen is looking forward to numerous creative submissions and is excited to see what impressive images the participants will submit this year. The photography competition provides a wonderful opportunity to showcase the beauty of the community through the lens of photographers.
