Festival of Twin Cities: Waldsassen celebrates in Chodov with music and cuisine
The city of Chodov invited to a special event on Saturday, August 24, 2024: the Day of Twin Cities and the Festival of Culinary Arts. This celebration provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen cultural ties between the cities and showcase the diversity of regional cuisine.
The delegation from Waldsassen traveled in two buses to take part in this festive day. The event attracted numerous visitors who enjoyed the exhibitor stands, food trucks and breweries. The culinary delights on offer ranged from traditional dishes to modern snacks that appealed to guests' tastes.
Musical highlights and local specialties
A special highlight of the festival was the musical performance by two bands from Waldsassen. The Birner Buddyboys and the band 4 Glory provided atmosphere and entertainment on the large stage on the market square. Their performances were complemented by three other bands from the Czech Republic, which enriched the musical program and created a lively atmosphere.
The town of Waldsassen was not only represented musically, but also culinary. Small pretzels from the local Rosner bakery were distributed at the information stand, which were very popular with visitors. This was a wonderful opportunity to showcase local gastronomy and delight visitors with a piece of home.
The next big event in the series of festivals celebrating the 130th anniversary of the city of Chodov is just around the corner. The town festival will be celebrated on September 14, 2024, and a bus will also travel from Waldsassen to Chodov. The exact times and program will be announced shortly, so that citizens can look forward to another exciting event.
