On Sunday, October 5, 2024, the parish church in Tirschenreuth will be the venue for a special musical event. Cantabile Regensburg, a renowned choir, will perform a Marian program at 4 p.m. that includes works by Swiss composer Carl Rütti. The event promises an impressive experience for music lovers and those interested in culture.

The program includes, among other things, Rütti's “Stabat mater”, which was designed for double choir, solo soprano and string orchestra. A highlight of the concert will be the performance of Rütti's latest organ work "Wisdom", which the composer himself will play. The choir is accompanied by a chamber orchestra consisting of members of the Regensburg City Theater orchestra.

A look at the composer and the choir

Cantabile Regensburg has made a name for itself in the German choir scene and is considered one of the figureheads. The choir impresses with its clear and harmonious sound, which is highly praised by experts.
