Reading fun in Tirschenreuth: 33 children conquer 484 books in the summer holiday reading club
The Tirschenreuth public library once again organized an exciting summer holiday reading club this year, which was very well received by young readers. A total of 33 children from grades 1 to 7, including 25 primary school students, took part in this special program. Together they have read and reviewed an impressive 484 books, many of which have just been added to the library.
Each child received a stamp for each book they read, which further increased motivation. At the end of the reading club, the most diligent readers were rewarded with certificates and small prizes. Mia Werner's performance was particularly outstanding, taking first place with 49 books read. Your prize, a voucher for the Pottenstein climbing forest, will certainly bring a lot of joy. Mia Schindler came in second with 47 books, followed by Marie Möstl, who read 44 books.
Ceremonial award ceremony
The award ceremony took place in a celebratory setting, where the children proudly received their certificates. The second mayor, Peter Gold, and the head of the city library, Christine Henrich, were also present and congratulated the young readers on their great achievements. A group photo after the awards ceremony shows the joy and pride of the participants.
The reading club not only promoted interest in reading, but also strengthened the community among the children. The Tirschenreuth city library is already planning to offer a reading club again next year to further support and promote the joy of reading.
