Wackersdorf Town Hall: New opening hours from November 2024

The town hall of the Wackersdorf-Steinberg am See administrative community is changing its opening hours. From November 1, 2024, the house will be closed on Tuesday afternoons. However, all offices can still be reached by telephone. Personal appointments can still be arranged.

Background of the change

“The administrative costs have increased massively, we can feel this in all offices in the town hall,” says the chairman of the administrative communityThomas Falter. He refers to the citizens' office and passport office. “Applications submitted there must also be processed.” This is almost impossible when there is ongoing public traffic, adds the deputy chairmanHarald Bemmerl. “Even if it looks like the opposite at first glance: the additional closure improves the bottom line for citizen service.”

The employees will continue to be regularly staffed on Tuesday afternoon. Everyone can be reached by phone at their direct extensions. Appointments can also be arranged. “Spontaneous visits to the citizens' office, the cash register or other offices and locations in the building as well as telephone contact via the central telephone number will no longer be possible in the future,” emphasizesbutterfly. He adds: “There have been and are always cases in which the personal schedule is not compatible with the opening hours of the town hall.” Appointments outside of regular opening and working hours are still possible.
