New mourning hall: Citizens find out about renovations and offers

The event series “On the move with the citizen” was very popular when Mayor Thomas Falter (CSU) and Mirjana Lang from the Lang funeral home presented the latest developments around the funeral hall and the cemetery. The citizens had the opportunity to find out about the completed redesign of the funeral hall and take a look at the ongoing work.

Mayor Falter explained to those present the current status of the construction work using a detailed implementation plan. A central concern of the redesign is to improve barrier-free accessibility, especially of public toilets. In addition, the entrance area of the funeral hall will be upgraded to offer visitors more comfort. Additional shading options such as sun sails and roof plane trees as well as new seating are planned. These measures are expected to be completed at the beginning of December.

Expansion of the urn steles

Another important topic was the planned expansion of the urn steles. Next year, four new steles, each with six urn niches, are to be erected to meet the high demand. The building committee has already determined the locations for these new steles, which increases anticipation for the coming changes.

Mirjana Lang led the interested citizens through the newly renovated rooms of the funeral hall. The newly designed farewell room, which has a homely atmosphere, was particularly highlighted. This room offers the opportunity to say goodbye on a small scale, which takes into account the modern culture of mourning. Lang emphasized that this type of farewell better meets the needs of the grieving families.

In the large mourning hall, visitors were presented with various farewell options. Ms. Lang explained that each funeral ceremony can be customized to meet the wishes of the grieving family. This flexibility is an important aspect that helps relatives plan their personal farewell.

questions and answers

Finally, Mayor Falter discussed the planned further improvements to the accessibility of the cemetery. The event ended with a question and answer session in which participants had the opportunity to express their concerns and questions, which were then answered by the speakers. The lively participation shows the interest of citizens in developments in their community.
