The city of Schwandorf is starting the 2024 training year with fresh talent
The city of Schwandorf welcomed four new trainees into its ranks on September 2, 2024. These young talents are trained in various areas of city administration and contribute to the further development of the city. Emely Meier and Emilie-Isabell Frizler have decided on a three-year training course to become administrative assistants. During this time they will work in different departments of the town hall in order to gain practical experience. They deepen their theoretical knowledge through block lessons at the Bavarian Administrative School and at the vocational school in Regensburg.
In addition, Marlene Lehmann is starting her training as a specialist in media and information services and will support the Schwandorf City Library. Your school training takes place at the municipal vocational school for media professions in Munich. Lukas Schmid, on the other hand, is being trained as a specialist employee for pool companies and is strengthening the team at the Schwandorf Municipal Pools. He attends the state vocational school in Lindau on Lake Constance and takes part in inter-company training at the Bavarian Administration School in Lauingen.
Commitment to training
Norbert Zimmermann, the department head for human resources and organization, expressed pride in the opportunity to offer young people sound training. “The training with the city of Schwandorf is not only an excellent basis for a professional career, but also an opportunity to actively participate in shaping our city,” he explained. The city places great value on practical training that gives trainees the opportunity to get to know different departments and develop their skills in a dynamic environment.
The training not only includes professional qualifications, but also promotes teamwork, communication and personal development. Second Mayor Andreas Wopperer, Stefan Schamberger, the head of the Office for Public Safety, Order and Personnel, and the respective training officers were present to welcome the new trainees. The chairman of the staff council, Paul Bäßler, also wished the new talents Emilie-Isabell, Emely, Marlene and Lukas a successful start to their professional careers and is looking forward to a good collaboration.
With this initiative, the city of Schwandorf shows its commitment to training young people and promoting talent in administration.
