Discover the Kebbel Villa: art and history in Schwandorf
The Kebbel Villa, an architectural jewel in the Fronberg district of Schwandorf, always attracts the attention of art lovers and history buffs. Although it has shaped the cityscape since the late 19th century, its fascinating history remains unknown to many.
On Sunday, October 6th, at 2 p.m., those interested have the opportunity to take part in a guided tour of the Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus. This event not only offers a look at the impressive architecture of the villa, but also at the adjacent sculpture park, which impresses with its artistic works.
Insights into the art world
The tour is led by experienced tour guides who tell the participants exciting stories and information about the villa and its works of art. In the second part of the tour, Mr. Jürgen Dehm, the director of the Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus, will guide visitors through the current exhibition. Participants not only receive valuable background information about the exhibits, but also an exclusive insight into the workshops where creative processes take place.
The current exhibition entitled "BROUGHT IN! From our international exchange" shows works that emerged from an international exchange project. This exhibition offers a platform for artists to present their work to a wide audience and celebrate the diversity of art.
To take part in the tour, a binding registration is required, which must be made no later than one working day before the appointment. Anyone interested can contact us by phone on 09431 45 550 or by email tourismus@schwandorf.de register. Alternatively, online booking is also available via the homepage.
The meeting point for the tour is the main entrance to the Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus. The entire tour lasts about 1 ½ hours and costs 7.00 euros. Discounts are available for schoolchildren, students, trainees, severely disabled people and holders of certain ID cards.
