Road renewal on B 85: diversions and closures in Nittenau
This week, the Amberg-Sulzbach State Building Authority began renewing the roadway on federal highway 85 between Mappach and the border with the Schwandorf district. This measure is part of a larger project to improve road infrastructure in the region.
The construction work is scheduled to last around four weeks. During this time, Federal Highway 85 will be closed to all traffic, meaning motorists will have to use alternative routes.
Detour and traffic management
A diversion was put in place to maintain traffic flow during construction work. The diversion leads via state road 2150 to Nittenau, from there on to state road 2149, which is known as the Nittenau eastern bypass, and finally via the B 16 to Altenkreith. The same detour route applies to vehicles traveling in the opposite direction.
In addition, the intersections and junctions of the district road SAD 14 and the state roads 2150 will also be closed during the construction period. This is intended to ensure the safety of construction workers while optimizing traffic flow on the diversion routes.
For further information or questions, interested citizens can contact the State Building Authority directly. The authority is available to answer any questions about the construction site and the associated traffic changes.
