Together for nature: Workshop on the biodiversity strategy in Neukirchen-Balbini
An exciting project to promote biological diversity is being launched in Neukirchen-Balbini. The Neukirchen-Balbini market is working together with the Oberpfälzer Wald e.V. Nature Park and the citizens on a municipal biodiversity strategy. This strategy aims to develop measures that will secure and strengthen biological diversity in the region in the long term. The involvement of the population as well as experts from authorities, clubs and associations with an environmental focus is of great importance.
Since the beginning of the project, various initiatives have been launched, including the conversion of a municipal forest area and the planning of a garden at the nature park school. A round table with agriculture was also set up to promote collaboration and exchange ideas.
Invitation to the workshop
In order to further advance the project, citizens are warmly invited to take part in the 3rd workshop. This will take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to around 10:00 p.m. in the Schießl-Hof, Fronauer Str. 5, 92445 Neukirchen-Balbini. Participation is important in order to plan the next steps together and to concretize the strategy.
In the workshop, the tables of measures for various fields of action such as open land, forests, water bodies, settlements, experiencing nature and raising awareness as well as value creation are coordinated. In addition, relevant supporters and the projects’ need for action are determined. A detailed program can be viewed in the “Downloads” section of the website.
