Compost sites in the Regensburg district close seasonally – important information!
Due to the season, the district's own compost sites in Beratzhausen and Regenstauf as well as the green waste storage area in Pollenried close. From December 9, 2024, these spaces will no longer be open to the public. The last time deliveries can be made is on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Important information about delivery
From December 9, 2024, larger deliveries that cannot be postponed, especially commercial ones, are only possible after timely prior registration with the Regensburg district. The telephone number for this is 0941/4009-363. This regulation also applies to Christmas tree collection campaigns by communities and other organizations. The green waste containers in the recycling centers are still available for smaller deliveries of green waste and woody waste.
Christmas tree opening hours
On Saturday, January 11, 2025, the compost sites in Beratzhausen and Regenstauf as well as the green waste storage area in Pollenried will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Natural Christmas trees and Advent wreaths can be delivered on this day. It is important that these are without Christmas decorations, paint and snow spray, wires and tinsel. It is also possible to deliver compostable green waste and purchase compost on this day.
Reopening in March
From Saturday, March 1, 2025, the compost sites can be delivered again during the usual opening hours.
