Seniors' afternoon in the Glöckl tent: enjoyment and music on August 26th

On Monday, August 26, 2024, a very special seniors' afternoon will take place in the Glöckl tent, which was brought to life by the organizers of the Seniors' Advisory Board of the City of Regensburg and the Regensburg District Office. From 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. all seniors are cordially invited to spend a sociable afternoon.

The event not only offers an opportunity to socialize, but also offers discounted food and drinks. For example, guests can enjoy a quart of beer, shandy or non-alcoholic beer for just €9.20. The food is also available at a fair price: half a chicken, freshly prepared, also costs €9.20, as does a portion of crusty rolled roast with dumplings and sauce or six fresh bratwursts with cabbage and bread roll.

Musical entertainment and reservations

The popular band “Regenstaufer Musikanten” will provide the musical accompaniment from 1 p.m. and will create a good atmosphere with their sounds. Table reservations are necessary and can be made by telephone on 0941 4009-531 or 0941 4009-268. Alternatively, interested parties can also send an email to hilfen.lebenslagen@landratsamt-regensburg.de send. When making your reservation, you are asked to indicate the number of wheelchair users in order to ensure barrier-free participation.

A free special bus will pick up participants from the Süd/Arcaden main station at 12:30 p.m. The route passes through several stops, including the B5 main station, Dachauplatz - Museum, Wöhrdstraße - Youth Hostel and Weichs - Donaueinkaufszentrum, before reaching the final stop Walhalla Bockerl. The return journey is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and will take place at the same stops.

The event promises to be an entertaining and sociable afternoon for the city's older citizens, offering not only culinary delights but also a beautiful atmosphere.
