New route from December 14th: Bus route 20 ensures better connections!

From December 14, 2025, a timetable change for bus line 20 in Thalmassing is planned. These changes particularly affect the Thalmassing Am Mühlfeld stop, where the second bus platform will be included in the regular timetable from this date. In addition, the interim stop Schlossstrasse will no longer be served. The new timetables are now available on the RVV homepage and via the RVV app, as Thalmassing.de reports.

Bus route 20 has established itself as an important connection in the region. It connects the towns of Luckenpaint, Thalmassing, Gebelkofen, Obertraubling and Regensburg, including the stops at the main train station and at the OTH Regensburg TechCampus. This line operates from Monday to Friday and serves a total of 32 stops. The journey distance is around 24 kilometers and the total journey time takes around 45 minutes. Last trips end at 11:56 p.m. at Regensburg Central Station, which underlines the flexibility of this connection, as can be read on fahrplan-bus-bahn.de.

Stops and zones

The stops on line 20 are divided into different zones, ranging from 1 to 4. The stops include:

  • Luckenpaint
  • Thalmassing (mehrere Haltestellen)
  • Gebelkofen
  • Obertraubling
  • Hauptbahnhof Regensburg
  • TechCampus/OTH

The division into zones enables easy orientation for passengers and makes ticket prices transparent.
