Carnival in the district: 200 fools celebrated in the Regensburg district office!

On February 11, 2026, a celebratory carnival reception took place in the Regensburg district office, to which a total of 200 fools from eight carnival societies appeared. The event was opened by District Administrator Tanja Schweiger, who emphasized the importance of carnival for the culture of the district and acknowledged the voluntary work in the carnival clubs. These traditional festivals not only serve as entertainment, but also promote a sense of community and lightness in challenging times, as she emphasized in her speech. Tegernheim reports that...

The participating carnival societies included Gucki-Schlucki, Lari-Fari, Köfering-Helau Aja, Aja-Bussi Bussi, the Frohsinn Narradonia carnival society, the Prinzengarde Beratzhausen, the Sari-Wari carnival department of SV Sarching, as well as the carnival friends Friesheim, Lari-Fari Diesenbach, the Köfering carnival committee and the Carnival guild Saturnalia from Neutraubling. A joint guard dance by the delegation from Hemau marked the ceremonial start of the program, followed by various performances that thrilled the audience.

Program and highlights

The event included numerous highlights. The performances by the men's ballet of the Frohsinn Narradonia carnival company and the impressive performances by Funkenmariechen particularly stood out. Guard and show dances delighted the audience and created a great atmosphere. Applause erupted for the little dancers and the child prince couples, who were also part of the program. The organization of the event was taken over by Christine Lang from the district office, who guaranteed that the celebrations ran smoothly.

The carnival reception concluded with a waltz by all the prince couples, followed by a social gathering that was rounded off with music and a snack. This tradition has become anchored in the district over the years and helps to promote cohesion in the community.

In this context you realize how important such events are for the identity and culture in the region. The commitment of the carnival societies shows that free and creative expressions of foolish activities are promoted, which is important not only for the participants but also for the entire community.
