Family day at Wolfsegg Castle: A celebration for young and old!
On September 1, 2024, the traditional family day of the Regensburger Land Media Center took place at Wolfsegg Castle. Under the motto “Everything for the cat!” Numerous families experienced a day full of joy, creativity and exciting activities.
A highlight of the day was the performance of the children's theater piece “Kater Mikesch”, which was presented by the Ensemble Kunst für Kids under the direction of Susanne Senke. The little viewers were captivated by the adventures of Mikesch the cat, who learned to speak and was sent on an unexpected journey. The talented actors, including Sonia Moser and Kirstin Rokita, ensured that children watched with wide eyes and open mouths.
Creative stations for children
The event also offered numerous creative stations where the children could let their imaginations run wild. Whether making cat mosaics or designing key rings with Knight Wonnebold and Damsel Hildegard - the little artists were enthusiastic and proudly presented their works to their parents.
Entertaining cat films and exciting adventures of the little bear Fieps were shown in the castle cinema. The families enjoyed the films in the unique atmosphere of the old castle tower. The medieval clothing store was also very popular, where many children were able to slip into the roles of knights and damsels and thus immerse themselves in the fascinating world of the Middle Ages.
The castle café, which offered a variety of delicious dishes and delicacies that were very well received by visitors, ensured physical well-being. A big thank you goes to all the volunteers whose tireless efforts made this special family day possible.
