Tax information 2026: Sinzing explains property and dog tax payments!

On January 12, 2026, the Sinzing municipal administration published important information for citizens about the current year's taxes. Particularly relevant is the announcement that no new notices for property tax, trade tax advance payments and dog tax will be sent in 2026. This also applies to cases where citizens may have been waiting for a new calculation. Instead, the assessments from previous years remain valid and taxpayers can see the tax liability for future years from these assessments. The Municipality of Sinzing explains that new notices will only be issued if there are changes to the assessment bases.

However, there are also indications of possible problems that could lead to a lack of new notifications. These include, for example, missing digital data sets from the tax office about the current property owners or discrepancies between the data provided by the tax office and the municipality's inventory. Due to these circumstances, taxpayers should be particularly attentive and contact the local authority if they have any questions.

Important due dates

The payment dates for property tax are fixed: The amounts are to be paid on four deadlines per year, namely February 15th, May 15th, August 15th and November 15th. For small contributions up to an amount of 15 euros, the due date is once a year on August 15th. For amounts up to 30 euros, payment is made twice, on February 15th and August 15th. Taxpayers also have the option of paying the entire annual amount on July 1st, although an application must be submitted by September 30th of the previous year.

The due dates for trade tax advance payments are based on the same dates: February 15th, May 15th, August 15th and November 15th. The basis for the property tax and trade tax notices are the measurement notices issued by the tax office.

Dog tax and payment methods

The dog tax is due annually on April 1st, provided the dog is kept in the municipality for at least three months. Taxpayers who have set up a SEPA direct debit mandate can benefit from automatic deduction of taxes. However, other taxpayers must ensure that they pay on time to avoid possible late payment penalties of 1% of the overdue amount per month or part thereof. Reminder fees must also be taken into account, which amount to 1% of the reminder amount, but at least 5 euros.

The municipality of Sinzing provides information on bank details to process payments. The IBAN for Sparkasse Regensburg is DE95 7505 0000 0111 5001 79 (BIC: BYLADEM1RBG) and for Raiffeisenbank Sinzing is DE66 7506 9078 0000 2212 01 (BIC: GENODEF1SZV).

It is also noted that new notifications for wastewater fees in 2025 will be prepared and sent by the end of February 2026. In order to avoid ambiguity, citizens should refrain from inquiring about the dispatch date of the billing notices and instead view the information on the Homepage of the municipality of Sinzing.
