Railway work between Straubing and Mangolding: Important information for commuters
DB InfraGO AG has announced that extensive construction work will take place on railway line 5830 “Passau Hbf – Obertraubling” between May 27, 2024 and December 12, 2025. This work extends from Straubing to Mangolding and includes both new construction and maintenance work. The exact kilometer information is railway km 74 to railway km 105.
In addition to the main work, two branch lines are also affected. The route 5630 “Neufahrn – Radldorf” is being worked on from Geiselhöring (rail km 19) to Radldorf (rail km 26), while the route 5812 “Straubing – Miltach” in Straubing from rail km 0 to rail km 2 is also included in the measures.
Scope of work
The planned work is necessary to ensure the safety and reliability of rail transport. In order to keep the disruption to passengers as low as possible, night-time work and work on weekends and public holidays are also planned.
