Volunteering in the spotlight: New Year's reception in Obertraubling on January 18th!

On Sunday, January 18, 2026, the community's New Year's reception will take place in Obertraubling. The event begins at 6:00 p.m., admission and welcome begins at 5:15 p.m. The venue for the event is the Leo Graß Sports Center, where citizens come together to welcome the New Year and honor volunteer work.

This year the reception has the motto “Obertraubling Volunteer Day”. Particularly committed volunteers are awarded the community's volunteer badge to recognize their valuable work in the community. These awards are an important part of the evening and are intended to shine a spotlight on the contributions of volunteers.

Invitation to the community

The invitation to the New Year's reception is aimed not only at volunteers, but also at everyone who is active in initiatives aimed at the common good and in secular and church institutions. In addition, representatives of local businesses and new residents are cordially invited to take part in this special evening.

This year the “Joyce” choir, conducted by Alex Deser, will provide the musical accompaniment. The choir's performances are intended to create a festive setting for the evening and put those present in a positive mood.
