Protection against fraud: Cabaret Ned with me!” enthusiastically in Lappersdorf
On October 24, 2025, the auditorium of the Lappersdorf high school will become the stage for the prevention cabaret “Ned mit mir!”. The event starts at 4 p.m. and will take place from Regensburg District Office organized in collaboration with the cabaret artist Tom Bauer, the Upper Palatinate police and the Regenstauf police station. The aim of the event is to provide humorous information about the dangers of scams such as the grandchild trick and shock calls.
The event is free to attend, but registration is required as spaces are limited. Anyone interested can register with Ms. García Jociles on 0941 4009 531 or by email at hilfen.lebenslagen@lra-regensburg.de. The registration deadline is important for the organizers to ensure enough space for all participants.
Enlightenment through humor
The cabaret “Ned with me!” is an innovative format for raising awareness about fraud in everyday life, which is intended to particularly appeal to seniors. Tom Bauer, who appears as a cabaret artist, will, together with Police Chief Matthias Braut, provide information and refute concerns about various fraud methods. The event is accompanied by humorous skits and musical performances to captivate the audience and firmly anchor the messages.
The organizer emphasize the growing need to inform the population about the increasing scams such as cybercrime and telephone fraud, which have increased significantly in recent years. District Administrator Tanja Schweiger emphasizes the importance of education and prevention. The Regenstauf police station will also set up an information stand on site where personal questions can be answered.
Promoting a successful model
The cabaret is part of a broader fraud prevention initiative that is also gaining importance in other regions of Bavaria. Similar programs like those from BR reported, have already taken place in Lower Bavaria and showed that there is great interest in raising awareness among the population. The first performance in Reisbach attracted around 300 visitors, many of whom reported their own experiences with attempted fraud.
The combination of humor and important information seems to be the effective way to present these serious topics in an appealing way and reach the target group. In this sense, the event “Ned with me!” Not just entertainment, but also valuable education that will hopefully protect many from future fraud attempts.
