Neutraubling in focus: Take part in the ADFC bicycle climate test now!
The city of Neutraubling is calling on all cyclists to take part in the current survey of the ADFC bicycle climate test 2024. This survey is a great opportunity to assess the city's bike-friendliness and suggest improvements. The survey is available online at www.fkt.adfc.de and only takes about ten minutes. Here participants can rate their feeling of safety, the width of the cycle paths and the accessibility of destinations by bike.
This year the focus is on togetherness in traffic. This means that the survey also contains questions about how cyclists assess the behavior of other road users. For example, the question is whether sufficient distance is maintained when overtaking and whether road users treat each other with consideration. This information is important to get a better understanding of the traffic situation in Neutraubling.
Important details about the survey
The survey runs from September 1st to November 30th, 2024. Climate protection manager Manfred Pfauntsch emphasizes that it is worth taking part in the survey. “If more than 50 citizens take part, we receive a detailed evaluation,” he explains. This evaluation will help the city to improve conditions for cyclists and to see where things are already going well and where there is still a need for action.
The results of the test will be presented in spring 2025 at the Federal Ministry of Transport in Berlin, where the most bicycle-friendly cities and communities will be honored. The ADFC carries out this test every two years, and this year is the eleventh time it has been carried out. The survey is supported by the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport to advance the implementation of the National Cycling Plan.
